Woman charged with DWI transgression genocide by vehicle

RALEIGH -- Police think that a Raleigh lady had been celebration prior to her car slammed in to an additional car stopped at a red light and killed a back-seat newcomer Saturday morning.

Manuela Mantanona Gomez was charged with transgression genocide by car and pushing whilst inebriated in the collision that occurred about 5 a.m. in North Raleigh.

John Sullivan, 24, of Charlotte was in the behind chair of a Toyota Scion stopped at a trade light in the southbound line of Six Forks Road at Sawmill Road when Gomez" Mazda sedan, roving about 45 miles an hour, struck the Scion. The car was pushed about 170 feet down the road.

Sullivan was pinned in the behind chair and died of his injuries.

Gomez, who was not wearing a chair belt, was severely harmed and was taken to WakeMed.
